Howl Comedy Club at The Market Place - 24th October 2026

🐺 HOWL IS BACK THIS OCTOBER… AND WE’VE GOT A HUGE HEADLINER!

After another brilliant night at The Market Place, we’re doing it all over again on Saturday 24th October, and this time we’re bringing you one of the most experienced comedians on the UK circuit...

🎤 HEADLINER: JOHN FOTHERGILL

John is a proper circuit heavyweight. He’s performed sell-out shows across the UK and taken his comedy around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan, China and South Africa.

You might also recognise him from TV appearances including The Comedy Store and 8 Out of 10 Cats, while over the years he’s shared bills and support slots with some of the biggest names in British comedy.

And if that’s not enough...

“Everything he says is funny... he looks like he was born onstage, under a follow spot, with a mic in his hand.”
The Guardian

“A top comedy turn and a right funny bloke.”
The Sun

“Relaxed and happy to banter with the crowd... the stand out of the night.”
The Age, Melbourne

John has been doing this at the highest level for years, and we’re absolutely buzzing to have him HEADLINING HOWL IN MORPETH! 🐺🔥
