He then took the show on tour playing to packed out audiences around the country including a sold out one man show at London's world famous Comedy Store
From 2013 to 2024, Ian presented Off The Ball a weekly comedy football panel show. First on ESPN and then as The Football's On from 2014 on BTSport and then TNT Sport. On FA Cup Final Day in 2013, he presented a version of the show as part of ESPN’s coverage from Wembley Stadium. The guest list reads like a who’s who of the nations favourite comedy talent and included Alan Davies, Dara OBriain, Lee Mack, Omid Djalili, Ardal OHanlon, Phil Jupitus and Milton Jones, Frankie Boyle, Mickey Flanagan, David Baddiel, Romesh Ranganathan, Omid Djalili and Sean Lock.

Brilliant show.. full of great stories and laughs. The night was made even better by Troy taking time at the end of the show to come into the bar for a chat and to pose for photos with everyone.

Great night support from local ledgend Fran Garrity then the amazing Troy Hawke the act is not for some but I've seen him before in the same venue few years ago this work in progress show was great and well polished Troy's interaction and rollercoaster of his life stories are great I've knocked 2 stars off the venue as it was very cold when we first arrived the heating was on after around 20 mins you could feel the temp plummet they should have a whip round to get punters to throw in a couple of quid in the hat to go towards the energy bill. The compare Matty Oxleu was a welcome suprise too.
