Nodding Dog Comedy return to home turf with Comedy At The Albert Club on Saturday 23rd March!

Expect a brilliant night of laughter starring as seen on TV comedians and award winners aplenty as we bring you the very best from the UK comedy circuit!

Welcome to the stage...

STEPHEN CARLIN

Named by comedian Stewart Lee as “one of the best 10 comedians ever,” Stephen Carlin is a hilarious Scottish comedian who has received great critical acclaim, accolades and a growing fanbase with his original and insightful writing style and accomplished delivery. He is a very enigmatic act, using a unique pattern of delivery to amuse the audience with very unexpected and off the wall references.

From his sartorial elegance to his in-depth and hilarious knowledge of International snooker, Carlin’s performance takes the audience into the mind of a passionate obsessive. This man is well on his way to becoming Scotland’s newest addition to its history of brilliant comedians. All skilfully delivered in his deadpan Scottish brogue.

Stephen has supported Tom Stade, Stewart Lee, Stephen Merchant and Felix Dexter on their national tours. He also starred on Stewart Lee’s The Alternative Comedy Experience on Comedy Central.

BETHANY BLACK

Bethany Black is a comedian, actor and writer.  She has been performing for over 20 years and has supported many acts on tour including Joe Lycett and Paul Sinha. Blessed with a sharp tongue and a desire to overshare she's been critically acclaimed for her personal, confessional style of comedy.  Just as comfortable performing in a small room as in a stadium she has travelled the world and is a regular at some of the biggest clubs in the UK.

She has been a panelist on "Sorry I Didn't Know  " (ITV) as well as "Sarah Millican's Elephant In The Room" (BBC Radio 4) and was a guest on "Rosie Jones - Box Ticker" (BBC Radio 4).  She has had leading roles in television shows such as Cucumber, Banana and Tofu by Russell T Davies for Channel 4 for which she has won awards, she was also a guest star in Doctor Who and played one of the series baddies in No Offence.

ROB MULHOLLAND

Yorkshireman and stand up comedian Rob Mulholland is known for his intricately woven, gag-packed stories. After reaching the finals of the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year competition, he went on to win English Comedian of the Year. A former writer for Mock the Week (BBC Two), he has performed on BBC Radio 4 Extra and can be seen on BBC iPlayer’s Comedians’ Rap Battles. Host of hugely popular Deadmen Talking podcast.

Compere really good. Warm, welcoming ( even some latecomers) and very funny. Last act dwelled on heroin (not a heroine which might have made a funny link? ) and Scotish people too long. A slight platform or stage would have benefited viewing. A very friendly club.
