RAYMOND MEARNSRaymond Mearns" considerable ability to keep his stand-up fresh, relevant and most of all extremely funny has won him recognition as one of the most consistent comedians in the land.Described by Frankie Boyle as "a genuine improvisational genius" and Billy Connolly as "a man who knows how to swear properly", Raymond is one of the UK"s finest circuit comedians, and can be seen most weekend evenings entertaining audiences at some of the nations" top comedy venues.With several acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe shows to his name, in 2014 Raymond completed work on Planet Mearns for BBC Radio Scotland, and Planet Mearns – Christmas Special broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland on Christmas Day.A familiar on screen presence, Raymond"s acting credits include films Ae Fond Kiss (2004) and It"s a Free World (2007), both directed by Ken Loach and the ITV1 drama Doors Open (2012) written by Ian Rankin and starring Stephen Fry, as well as roles in Rab C Nesbitt, River City, Limmy"s Show and Legit.
TOM TAYLORMulti-award winning comedian Tom Taylor has received high praise from audiences and critics alike.In 2013 Tom reached the final of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? competition, the following year he was a finalist in the Hobgoblin Comedy Award and in 2015 he took home the award for Comedian of the Year at the inaugural Great Yorkshire Fringe. In 2017, he picked up the Audience Favourite Award at the Musical Comedy Awards and reached the final of English Comedian of the Year in 2018.A favourite of live bookers across the UK, Tom has also supported Simon Munnery, John Kearns and Abandoman on tour and performed on Radio 2 and Radio 4 as part of the BBC Radio New Comedy Award.His debut Edinburgh show, Tom Taylor was the Indie Feel-Good Hit of the Summer, was one of The Telegraph's must see shows of 2019 and was described by The Scotsman as "a genuine joy".
PETE OTWAYPete Otway is a multi-award nominated comedian, presenter and former dairy farmer. His razor-sharp wit and hilarious tales have taken him across the world, whilst making him in demand at some of the biggest comedy clubs and festivals in the UK. A former BBC New Comedy Award finalist, Pete’s first solo show was nominated for Best Debut at the Leicester Comedy Festival and played to sell out audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe. Often heard across various radio stations, either on the Hits Network on Rock FM or Radio City, and more recently on XS Manchester, Pete has also hosted shows on BBC Radio 4 Extra and performed stand-up on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 4."Brilliant. We love this place and try to visit 2/3 times a year when we come on holiday to the village. We’ve made friends with the locals and our sausage dogs love it too!!😀 The Comedy night was fab- our cheeks were hurting from laughing!
