Hello, Shenanigansers, we're back on the day after Fringe ends with some more great comedy upstairs at the Cumberland Arms.
The headliner for this one is MIKE MILLIGAN. Not to be missed, a real local stand-up legend and yet another comedian who has been working the circuit for decades (I'll book a younger one to close the show one day...). Mike has a wealth of comedy experience both nationally and internationally, delivering his delightfully sharp observations and quick wit to audiences from South Shields to Singapore. A regular columnist in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle, Mike has appeared in "Spender", "Byker Grove" and in a live version of the Viz Comic. I think he was in "I, Daniel Blake" too and probably been on "Vera".
Opening the show is RAUL KOHLI. Raul is one of comedy's fast rising stars, it's very likely in a few years, you'll be thinking back to when you saw him at a pub instead of on the telly. The last few years Raul has been relentlessly performing acclaimed stand-up shows and received unanimous praise, from the likes of the BBC and Chortle, for his red hot political satire and observations about race and racism. “Poisoning the minds of British children with pro-immigrant claptrap' – Nigel Farage.
Hosting for the evening is MATT HOSS. Matt is adorable in a way.
With support from JACK JOHNSON (Tyneside rap superstar) and ELAINE ROBERTSON (formerly of the Oxford Revue).
