Clitheroe's original and best comedy night.
Now in its 4th year, Clitheroe Comedy Club brings you yet another line-up of four top comedy acts performing cutting edge stand-up at The Grand.
MC Tony Vino comperes and curates the night and has a brilliant line-up planned, so come down and beat the winter blues:
The star of BBC2’s The Mash Report and Live At The Apollo comes to Clitheroe with his hilarious self-deprecating humour. Geoff Norcott is quite simply one of the most in demand live comics and TV writers around.
You might have seen his name pop up in the credits of any number of top comedy shows, including: ‘8 out of 10 Cats’, ‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘C4’s Alternative Election’, ‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme’, ‘The British Comedy Awards’ and many more.
Or you may have seen Geoff live, headlining shows at The Comedy Store, supporting the likes of Katherine Ryan and Kevin Bridges – or even earning an operational services medal for his work gigging on the frontline in Afghanistan.
You could possibly have read some of the nice things people have been saying about him, or even heard about his nomination for Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
If you hadn’t heard of any of those things, you have now – and there’ll be plenty more to come
"Norcott is an absolute tonic" - The Telegraph
"A Comedian with a big future" - Mirror
The Kagools are a multi award-winning physical comedy duo from the UK. Since their first full-length show in 2014, the duo has quickly gained fans far and wide with their unique brand of wordless (but far from silent) spontaneous, anarchic buffoonery.
An equally sought-after headline act both at home and overseas, their critically acclaimed shows have toured extensively, with recent international appearances including Australia, Norway, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia.
"Incredibly versatile, they delight everyone from raucous late night crowds to daytime family festivals." ★★★★★ - TVBomb
"One of the outright funniest pieces of the entire festival" - Sydney Morning Herald
Rob Deering performs stand-up comedy with music, using a guitar, a loop pedal and his voice to create impressive rock and pop soundscapes – and do jokes, of course.
Along with being one of the most in-demand headliners on the UK circuit, he’s toured nationally and performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe many times since starting out in comedy in the year 2000. His late-night, live-music comedy pop quiz 'Beat This' is a festival institution, on London’s South Bank, at Wales’ Green Man and many more besides Edinburgh.
Rob has performed throughout the world, in shows from the Middle East to Melbourne, Shanghai to the South of France, and he has appeared on any number of Radio and TV shows, often using his extensive knowledge of film, popular music and… well, ‘general’; he has won Celebrity Mastermind and a comedians’ special of the Weakest Link on BBC One, for example.
"As sharp and versatile as a Swiss Army Knife" - The Independent
"Truly wonderful stand-up" - Sunday Times
