Anna is the comedy circuit's best kept secret. Multi-award winning with almost 20 years experience, she's a Cornish bumpkin with funny in her veins. First seen on the Russel Brand Show (Channel 4), she has gone on to win Riviera Comedian of the Year and a finalist in 'So you think you're funny?', Funny Women, Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and Kings of Comedy (Channel 4). And now, Anna brings her offbeat comedy to Barry!
Just check out these testimonials -
"A stand-up able to create engaging personal warmth" (Fringe Report)
"Anna manages to be wonderfully pottymouthed but endearingly innocent at the same time. Naughty but nice" (West Briton)
"Sweet Cornish whimsy" (Russell Brand)
"It's all too easy to see why she's being touted as one of UK's sharpest, especially in the all encompassing deftness in which she disposes of two persistent gabblers stage right" (The Duck Egg Comedy Club)
"A genuine babbling brook of Cornish humour" (Druid Camp)
"Confident without being brash, at ease with the audience and just fantastically funny. One of the best acts we've ever had at the Guildhall for a long time, sheer class" (Gloucester Guildhall)
"Cornish comedy goddess" (Plymouth Herald)
A regular on the comedy circuit throughout the UK, in 2016 Leroy had a successful stint performing across the Atlantic in New York City. This was quickly followed with further success at the Edinburgh Fringe 2017 as part of the prestigious Lunch Time Special. Back home in Cardiff he’s had sold out solo shows at the Wales Millennium Centre and the Cardiff Glee. In November 2018, Leroy returned to the Wales Millennium Centre for two sold out nights with his show 3 Dads and will be returning this autumn with his new show StereoType.
Leroy returns this autumn as Rob in series two of Tourist Trap, the hit BBC sitcom about the Welsh Tourist Board starring Sally Phillips.
In September 2018, Leroy also recorded his second comedy commission, a 30 minute live stand up show titled Three Dads for BBC Radio Wales and will be returning to Radio Wales this autumn with a new sketch show.
“risky at times but never crude and always uniquely observational” (Buzz Magazine)
“With a unique take on family life and everyday struggles, Leroy’s easy going stage presence and slick delivery leave a lasting impression” (Cardiff Comedy Festival)
