Another fantastic line up this month, with comedians from France, Bristol, Birmingham and Swansea!
AND since it's our resident host LORNA PRICHARD'S birthday month, we've decided to do all tickets for just £5 as a special treat! Also because, you know, we might be heading for a Brexit apocalypse and need to save our pennies...
STEFFAN ALUN (headlining)
Steffan Alun is a TV presenter, radio host and actor. First and foremost a comedian, he has supported Elis James on tour, has performed full runs at the Edinburgh Festival every year from 2015, and performs regularly at Glee Club and other top venues across the UK. He recently completed his first tour with the solo show Romantic Comedy, after a hugely succesful run at Edinburgh, adding extra dates due to popular demand.
With strong opinions about everything from … well, actually, no, literally everything – he cuts to the quick, without ever going for the cheap shot.
"Touching, accomplished and heartfelt storytelling. Watch out for him on tour." [Fringe Hire]
"A powerful voice. Articulate, erudite, his material belies a passion for the ludicrous." [Noel James]
"A natural comic." [Wales Online]
LOUISE LEIGH (opening)
In between whizzing about Bristol on her electric bike (“this must be how vegans feel!”) and removing parasites from her family, Louise somehow finds time to to turn in “An impressive performance” [John Hegley] and be “Imaginative, brilliant and ever-so-slightly risque.” [The Scotsman]
Finalist in Funny Women (2017) and Stand Up for Cider (2016, 2018).
“Charming, funny and has a natural rapport with the audience” [Andrew O’Neill]
Originally from Paris, France and of French – Algerian origins. Celya is now residing in the sunny city of Birmingham and has been making a huge impression on the UK comedy scene despite only starting her comedy career in 2017. Able to perform in French & English, Celya’s sharp writing brings a unique look into life as a EU expat living in post brexit Britain. With a very likeable stage presence and natural ability Celya looks destined for the top.
“I was shocked and appalled by Celya’s sharp and annoyingly observant gags. An exciting and promising writer.” [Joe Lycett]
"One of our favourite new acts of the festival" [Jokes On Us], Leicester Comedy Festival 2018
Adam is a recent finalist in Birmingham Comedy Festival's Breaking Talent Awards, Nottingham Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and has performed on BBC Radio 4 Extra as part of BBC New Act 2018.
Since his comedy debut in 2014 Eric Roy Rushton has been mixing with the best on the comedy scene, progressing into paid open and middle slots on pro gigs. Chortle student runner up 2016 and So You Think You're Funny Finalist 2017.
"Intriguing and amusing" - Chortle
“Eric Rushton is absolutely brilliant” -Paul Smith
