Stone Circle Comedy @ The Pod Newport

June 9th brings our popular comedy night back to The Pod Newport! So join us for a full professional line-up of hilarious stand-up comedy!

As always we have TWO headline acts on one night!

Our acts are as follows…Our first headliner is -

TOM GLOVER

Loveable West Country favourite Tom Glover is a highly sought-after act and MC, capable of bringing laughter to any room. Tom combines tales of fatherhood and country living with hilarious observational routines on daily life. In recent times Tom also finished runner up in the prestigious Lastminute Comedy Club Comedian of the Year and reached the finals of the Inaugural Petfringe Comedian of the Year. His infectious personality and playful approach make him an instant hit with audiences, however Tom is perhaps best known for his excellent crowd work and quick wit that have earned him a number of regular compere roles at major venues across the South West. He’s had two successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with split shows and his debut full length solo show was nominated for Best New Show at the 2019 Leicester Comedy Festival Awards.

Our middle act for the night is -

ELERI MORGAN

Funny, charming and a little bit manic, Eleri is a regular writer/contributor for BBC SESH, BBC WALES, BBC CYMRU and S4C and has performed at gigs throughout the UK, including the Edinburgh Fringe and Mach Comedy Festival. She is a series regular in the 2nd series of the improvised sitcom ‘Tourist Trap’ on BBC One Wales.

Our Second Headliner is -

PETER BRUSH

A highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes, Peter Brush unassumingly takes the stage with his slight bespectacled frame and scruffy hair, before consummately conquering it with an arsenal of razor sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion.
Formerly a BBC New Comedy Award finalist, and winner of Harrogate Comedian of the Year, Peter performs at clubs all over the UK and occasionally abroad. He has also written for BBC Radio 4’s ‘The News Quiz’, ‘The Show What You Wrote’ and ‘Newsjack’ and was the tour support for Alexei Sayle’s 2020 show, other acts he has supported on tour include Jonathan Pie, Jason Manford, Arthur Smith and Paul Sinha.
