Our Brilliant Line Up
President Obonjo
A veteran of the comedy circuit and a firm Rivoli crowd favourite, he is about to embark on another tour, called "Revolution". He has won the Malcolm Hardee award and his Nobel Peace prize is imminent! He has been nominated for silver stand up awards, Leicester comedy festival, Not So New Comedian of the year and New Act of the year - "The Idi Amin of St Albans - a great comic construct" Steve Bennett Chortle. "Provokes bowel shaking laughs" The Wee Review. Life is never dull with the President around 🙂
Don Biswas
Don has recorded a comedy special for BBC Radio 4 entitled ‘Neurotopical’ and has appeared on Radio 4’s 13 Million Club, Rosie Jones’s Boxticker as well as UKTV Digitals Rosie Jones’s Disabled Comedy Extravaganza , BBC Onlines Future Food Stars & BBC Asian Network.
'By the quality of his jokes alone, including a choice one about a corporate gig for the DWP, Biswas is the show’s star turn'. The Guardian.
“Don Biswas put more emphasis on slick one-liners, which made much of his Asperger’s and Asian background” London is Funny
Nicky G
Nicky has been going just over 2 years, coming second in the Max Turner prize, making the semi-finals of So You Think You're Funny and second in Clap Back to Reality. He has won Beat The Blackout, Ding Dong Gong Show, and the Knockout at Backyard , regularly appearing on pro bills such as Up The Creek, Top Secret, Big Belly, Backyard and Dulwich Hamlet Comedy Club.
Steve Holmes
Steve Holmes decided to get into comedy. With a moral, mental & physical stance influenced by NHS grade painkillers, Steve wants to do good in the world, but is easily distracted in his efforts. He has a world-weary view of life and a distrust of humanity borne from being an old man since childhood. He was runner-up in 2024's West End New Old Comedian of the year.
Sweary Poppins
Sweary Poppins is the unfiltered, off-duty version of the world’s most beloved nanny - and she’s here to whip you into shape. With a potty mouth and a tendency to burst into song, she’s practically (im)perfect in every way. Just make sure you sit up straight. Sweary Poppins is created and performed by Victoria Dyson.
Mossy
As main organiser, he has selflessly volunteered his comedic services as he approaches his 100th gig in his blue suit, with a mixture of the bizarre and daft storytelling that entertains young and old alike! He has been called the love child of Russ Abbott and Rodney Trotter but DNA ancestry kit should resolve this once and for all!
MC Barry Matthews
Barry is married with kids and needed a reason to get out of the house and escape having to DIY jobs at home. "amiable and entertaining joke teller that had the audience laughing a lot" A Rich Comic Life Blog "He's just like a modern Val Doonican!" Mossy
