We are back on May 14th with another killer line-up in our stunning uplands venue!  So come and join us for a full professional line-up of hilarious comedy. 

Our acts are as follows…Our Opener is - 

DREW TAYLOR

South Wales-based Drew has been making waves all over the UK comedy scene despite only being active since April 2015. Sharp, observational comedy at its best, Drew has played most of the major weekend comedy clubs over the UK including the Glee Club, Jongluers, Comedy Caberet and Hot Water Comedy Clubs. Whilst equally proficient at opening, middling or closing comedy nights, Drew is quickly building a reputation as a specialist comedy MC, combining interactive crowd work with his own brand of unique humour. Drew also recently hosted the big closing gala at the Merthyr Comedy Festival in South Wales.

Our middle act is –

MEL OWEN

Mel Owen is a presenter, columnist and comedian with script writing credits on Channel 4 and BBC Wales.

She has won stand-up competitions across the UK, including at Bristol Comedy Chest, Comedy Smash in Liverpool and the highly acclaimed Comedy Virgins competition for new acts in London.

In 2022, Melanie joined the presenting team on S4C’s Ffermio. She created Mel Mal Jal, one of Wales’s most popular podcasts which has gone on to be commissioned by BBC Sounds. Alongside her other presenting work, Melanie is currently a news columnist on the magazine show Prynhawn Da and regularly reviews the Saturday morning papers for Radio Cymru.

Our Headliner is -

ANDY WHITE

Andy White is An energetic, confident and silly Brummie who combines silly voices and a mad afro to devastating comic effect. 

Andy has numerous media appearances, including the BBC New Comedy Awards on BBC Choice, Brand Spanking New on BBC Radio 7 and his winning performance on the Weakest Link comedian’s special! 

He can do material that’s clever, cheeky, sick or just silly and his performance can shift from deadpan to loud and physical. Andy has played to a wide variety of comedy clubs, theatres, universities and TV shows. He regularly headlines up and down the UK and has worked with all the major chains and comedy promoters along the way. Overseas, he’s performed in Monte Carlo (Laughing Horse), Berlin (Bleu Montag), Abu Dhabi and Dubai (Laughter House) amongst others.
