Micro Pug Comedy presents:
Rising star Chris Washington is taking the comedy industry and audiences alike by storm. With bags of Northern charm, he had a hugely successful debut run at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, during which he received a sparkling nomination for the coveted Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer with his solo stand-up hour Dream Big (Within Reason).
2018 started with a bang for Chris, in January he brought this Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated show to London’s Soho Theatre, followed by two sell-out shows at the Salford Lowry Studio and invitations to perform at Latitude, Festival 41, Kendal Calling and Festival No. 6.
Since becoming Re:Play Breakthrough Comedian of the Year Winner and a finalist in the Magners New Comedy Act in 2015, Chris has proved he’s a definite one to watch, being likened to a Peter Kay for the smartphone generation. A favourite on the live circuit he has already supported Jason Manford and Tom Stade on tour.
Chris also released two online sketches for BBC Three’s Quickies series, both earning over 1 million views and becoming two of their most successful of the series.
His most recent Edinburgh show Chris Washington :Raconteur 2019 was received to great critical acclaim and rave reviews.
With a cheeky Northern charm and hilarious tales it’s clear to see why Chris is flying up the comedy ladder.
Has supported the likes of Kevin Bridges and Michael McIntyre.
Following the success of The Inbetweeners (and the two eponymous films that followed) Joe starred as Kingsley in all four series of Fresh Meat, and as George in Chickens, which he also co-wrote. Most recently Joe starred as Nick in the 2018 feature film The Festival and as Martin Lavender in the BBC2 sitcom White Gold, alongside Ed Westwick and James Buckley.
Joe has script development deals with Channel 4 and Fudge Park/BBC and was on the latest series of Dave’s Taskmaster.
Joe is also a regular on the stand-up circuit, delighting audiences up and down the country, while also trying to persuade them he’s not actually a teenage boy’
We cant wait till he performs for us at the halt!
Mike appeared on britains got talent to rave reviews from the judges, Manchester has had more than its fair share of comedy heritage over the years, he is without doubt the latest smooth talking, globetrotting Manc export and could even go on to become the greatest. Mike has that rare knack of being like the boy the next door but with huge star quality. He’s like your best, most humorous friend – only funnier!
