Weird and wild comedy is on!

Each show is a blend of the brilliant, strange, previously unseen and the hilarious with a tribe of comedians performing in a series of 5 and 10 minute spots.

Until your headliner closes the show with a longer set.

MC Paul Little will look after acts and audience throughout tonight's show.

WAFP was created to provide maximum stage time for open mic comedians, and indeed, acts of all levels.

Proven funny or emerging hilarious. We Are Funny Project bring it.

It's free though donations on the night are welcomed.

Farr's is  just 100 metres from Dalston Junction and 4 mins walk from Dalston Kingsland.

Your Headliner:

Based in London, Luca Cupani is considered the most British of the new generation of Italian comedians, not just because of his double citizenship, but also because of his style and quirky dry humour.

Cupani's first stand up gig was at the famous Gong Show at the London Comedy Store - and he won. This set him off nicely on his path to winning the So You Think You're Funny? at the Fringe in 2015.

Luca has been no stranger to the comedy world circuit since - gigging in Dubai and across Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark to name a few) and of course in Italy, where he has appeared on Zelig, the most successful Italian TV comedy show (recorded live in front of an audience of 2300 people)

Cupani has appeared at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, competed in Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Festival and regularly performs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Luca's latest show Happy Orphan received multiple rave reviews in 2022.

His solo show in Italian has been broadcasted on the TV channel Rai 5 and it is available on streaming on Amazon Prime Video (Italian Stand Up, episode 3). Luca's UK credits include appearing on Comedians Vs. News (BBC World Service) and The Arts Hour (BBC World Service)

'Phenomenally entertaining storyteller' -The Scotsman

'Completely endearing' - Chortle

'Tremendously funny' - Beyond the Joke

10s:

Jethro Bradley delivers deadpan absurdism, original observations and awkwardly confident physical comedy and has been making waves since he first started performing on the comedy scene in 2013. Jethro is a winner of the BBC New Comedy Award 2016, The Welsh Unsigned Act Award 2016 and winner of the Comedy Store’s infamous, King Gong. Jethro has performed at numerous top-level clubs and appeared on BBC1 and Radio 4’s Loose Ends with Clive Anderson.

“Jethro has that glint in his eye that says he is mentally ill enough to be a comedian” - Mark Steel

Ahad Haider is a comedian from London(ish) with a wry and subversive outlook who would probably just be yet another deadpan white man if he wasn't lucky enough to be queer and South Asian.
