Off the Dome: An Improvised Rap Weekend Intensive

TweetLearn to improvise rap with Acaprov's finest freestyle rappers with an intensive, on the weekend: Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August, from 10:00 - 17:00.
Plus, there will be a chance to put what you've learnt into practise at Acaprov's Freestyle Thirst Jam on Thursday 8th August, 19:00 - 21:30.
Build and develop a foundation for your improvised rap in a safe space to make "mistakes". Begin to understand and appreciate Hip Hop culture and other artforms that embrace improvisational lyricism; improve your confidence through practice; and boost your experience of:
- Understanding your style and learning the process of unlocking it
- Jamming with others
- Existing freestyle rapping formats
- Taking inspiration from all around you
- Hype-manning eachother until you feel unstoppable!
All in ONE WEEKEND!
Students will also have access to exclusive content on our "OFF THE DOME" Discord Server that includes resources to help you on your journey after completeing the course, from exercise documents, to weekly challenges, to a community of likeminded learners!

I did Safe Jam with Lisa Lynn and before that did a 2 day Improv course. Its been an Amazing journey of self discovery of what I can do when I let myself go. Lisa is a fantastic teacher . She talks fast and her energy is infectious. She makes it a point to see that everyone has fun and especially takes care of women as I think she is a strong feminist and wants to make sure women do get out of their comfort zone while doing improv. I also learnt all the 'lingo' for improv and had lots of fun. It has helped me in my acting career especially the space work for commercial auditions. I think everyone must do an improv course at least once in their life. Highly recommend.

Such fun! A really lovely jam with experienced and friendly people, will definitely come again. The woman leading the jam was great, it felt very inclusive and warm.
