Sapphire McIntosh

Fresh from appearing as a footballer in the new season of Ted Lasso, Sapphire McIntosh debuts her first hour: a fast, funny and sharply observational show about chasing big dreams from unlikely places. Blending sharp stand-up and raw honesty with the absurd and weird, this show tackles ambition, identity and the strange overlap between football, failure and finding your way – with plenty of laughs along the way.

She was a finalist in the hugely respected Leicester Comedy Festival 'Comedian of the Year' Awards in 2026, which is voted for by comedy clubs around the UK every year, and in the past has been won by comedy luminaries such as Romesh Ranganathan and Josh Widdicombe.

This was followed by a turn at the Soho Theatre as part of the all-female sketch sensation 'Gobby Girls'. 2026 will also see her make her solo Edinburgh Festival debut, following a series of work in progress shows at the Glasgow Comedy Festival and the 'small but perfectly formed' Machynlleth Comedy Festival.
