Harlow Comedy Club returns with its March offering, and this month Rudi Lickwood, David Ward and Conor Drum (unfortunately Brett Goldstein has had to pull out)* bring the laughs! More info on these great acts can be found below.

As usual doors open at 7:30pm, with the show beginning at 8pm. Food is available to order at the start, for service in the first interval.


RUDI LICKWOOD

As one of the top stand up comedians on the UK comedy circuit, Rudi Lickwood is far more than just a stand-up.

Rudi Lickwood is a comedian with a highly successful and long established career, spanning over 29 years starting out on the circuit as an Eddie Murphy impersonator in 1989. In this time Lickwood has performed at a variety of venues, settings and high profile events around the world. He is a true professional in bringing laughter to life. With a super confident playful personality oozing charisma, Rudi’s infectious charm has made him a desirable commodity. 

Rudi’s achievements include earning his status in the ‘Black 100+’ awards for the greatest Black British Achievers, and picking up a BECA award for outstanding contribution to comedy.  He has also appeared on a variety of TV shows and media projects. Working closely with the armed forces, Rudi has toured in Afghanistan, Iraq and Bosnia, keeping our troops entertained all over the world. A charming character, Rudi is loved wherever he performs.

His TV credits include Show me the Funny, Comic Relief, Get me the Producer, Funny Business and The Stand Up Show .

DAVID WARD

Fluid, quick thinking and lively, David’s spontaneity has made him the choice host for the BBC’s New Comedy Awards heats, as well as the rounds for C5’s So You Think You’re Funny? And he is also recognisable from BBC Three’s We Are Klang.

Very much in demand, David Ward is a friendly, upbeat comic with a cynicism that gives his comedy a unique gentle bite. David is much sought-after as both a great comedian and compere, who regularly appears at comedy clubs across the UK including The Comedy Store, Lee Hurst’s Backyard, Screaming Blue Murder, Headliners, Just The Tonic, Buzz Club, The Stand, Amused Moose, The Frog and Bucket and Comedy Café.

He has also supported some the UKs favourite acts on their UK tours including Harry Hill, Frank Skinner, Lee Hurst and Normal Lovett.

CONOR DRUM
 
Conor Drum is a comedian, actor and writer from Dublin based in London. He is a regular on the UK and Ireland comedy circuit and has appeared on both the BBC and the RTÉ New Comedy Awards.

A seasoned veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe Conor has brought several acclaimed shows to the festival including; All My Friends Are Dead, Nutjob, …IF and Solo. 

He supported Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Goldbergs) for seven nights at the Soho Theatre London and also at the Hollywood Improv and Laugh Factory LA.

Conor is becoming increasingly popular on the international comedy scene and has gigged all over the world from Barcelona to South Africa and Dubai. In addition he has performed corporate shows for a growing portfolio of high profile organisations.

As an actor Conor has appeared in several shorts, sketches and commercials. Notably in 2014 Conor went to New York as the star of the popular Irish comedy Scratch, which was named one of the Top 12 Short Films of the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. ​

Since signing with Soho Voices Conor’s voice has been used in animations, video games, documentaries and numerous campaigns for major brands including Subway and Trivago. ​

Conor has developed a number of comedy scripts for different formats and several of his sketches have earned hundreds of thousands of views online. His writing has been published in outlets including; The Irish Times, The Metro, The Times of Malta, The Huffington Post and Female First.
