Nodding Dog Comedy presents:

Comedy At The Courthouse

Copy details

It's another HUGE night of brilliant comedy at The Courthouse, Knutsford!

Get a drink from the bar, take your seats and prepare to laugh until it hurts to...

Bethany Black is a comedian, actor and writer.  She has been performing for over 20 years and has supported many acts on tour including Joe Lycett and Paul Sinha. Blessed with a sharp tongue and a desire to overshare she's been critically acclaimed for her personal, confessional style of comedy.  Just as comfortable performing in a small room as in a stadium she has travelled the world and is a regular at some of the biggest clubs in the UK.

You might know her from Mock the Week or 8 out of 10 cats, but that's just your mind playing tricks, despite regularly being praised for her appearance on those shows she's never appeared on either, she has been a panelist on "Sorry I Didn't Know " (ITV) as well as "Sarah Millican's Elephant In The Room" (BBC Radio 4) and was a guest on "Rosie Jones - Box Ticker" (BBC Radio 4).  She has had leading roles in television shows such as Cucumber, Banana and Tofu by Russell T Davies for Channel 4 for which she has won awards, she was also a guest star in Doctor Who and played one of the series baddies in No Offence.

She has written for TV shows such as Frankie Boyle's New World Order and Mummy's Big Queer Do as well as written jokes for many of the guests on your favourite panel shows.

Twice Emmy winning actor and comedian Fiona Allen has been a mainstay of our TV screens over the past two decades. She has starred in various sketch shows, most famously the iconic “Smack the Pony“. Fiona has also appeared in television dramas such as “Dalziel and Pascoe“, “Shameless“, “Coronation Street” and “Happiness” alongside Paul Whitehouse. On film, Fiona played Sandra in the film version of the famous Viz comic strip “Fat Slags“, and Smirgut the Fierce in “Gladiatress“. Most recently she has been in that little-known soap “Eastenders“…

Fiona won a whole new generation of fans in the second series of the hit E4 teenage drama “Skins“, playing Maxxie’s mum, Jackie Oliver (her on-screen hubby was Bill Bailey). She has also played the role of Georgia Stevenson in the BBC drama “Waterloo Road“, while often appearing as herself on comedy shows like “Mock the Week” and “8 Out Of 10 Cats“.

A superb rising star on the UK comedy scene. Ryan Kenny is quickly establishing himself at the biggest comedy clubs in the UK with his unique poetic stand up style. You'll be bragging about seeing him here first for years to come!

The host with the most, Jonathan is a glittery ball of cuddly yet spiky humour with a delightful wicked twist. Tour support for Sarah Millican and Jason Manford and now TV warm up for Joe Lycett. You know when you've been "Mayored"!

"Very funny!" Michael Palin
