Julian Lee is a charismatic one-liner comedian who has been described as a 'gag machine' but who can also engage with the audience. As well as being able to do 10-20 minute sets at both weekend clubs and midweek Arts Centres he is also a fine MC. Before Lockdown he was writing and performing for 'Grin Up North' on BBC Newcastle. Since Lockdown he has featured on the popular weekly online show, the UK Pun Off. He was runner-up in Leicester Comedy Festival's 'UK Pun Championship' in 2017 & 2018. He took his solo show, Jokebox, to Edinburgh in 2018. Previously he qualified for the heats of the 2015 BBC New Comedy Awards, was featured on R4's 'Ross Noble's Newcastle' and was in both the 2016 & 2017 series' of 'Jesting About' on BBC Newcastle.
