To celebrate the release of George Clooney's new movie 'Jay Kelly', we embarked on a mission to visit his 18th-century Lake Como villa, without an invitation, of course. Nestled in the charming town of Laglio, Lombardy, the mansion boasts extravagant features including a swimming pool, gym, and even a tennis court. Luckily for us, the CCTV coverage was a bit spotty, making our stealthy entrance a tad easier.
With no response to our polite requests for an interview, we resorted to a more creative method of meeting the Hollywood legend. We channeled our inner Ocean's Eleven, spending months plotting a break-in. Once inside, we couldn't resist posing with Clooney's Oscar from 'Syriana', a film none of us could make it through.
The interior was as stylish as you'd imagine, and we couldn't help but rummage through Amal's wardrobe for resellable treasures. The garage was a highlight, featuring a collection of vintage motorbikes. Alas, George was nowhere to be found, a fact confirmed by a very agitated housekeeper who darted into a panic room.
Before leaving, we penned a hasty love note, pocketed a couple of Golden Globes, and made a swift exit, narrowly escaping a confrontation with two German Shepherds. Despite the lack of a Clooney sighting, we considered the adventure a success, especially with our newfound collection of his underpants.
The trip set us back £850, including flights, balaclavas, and pepper spray. While reviews for 'Jay Kelly' are mixed, our Clooney caper was certainly five stars!
