In a turn of events that could only happen in the unpredictable world of entertainment, former President Donald Trump has set his sights on a new target: Australian comedian Sam Pang. During a recent press conference, Trump unexpectedly criticized Pang, the host of Paramount’s Sam Pang Tonight, suggesting his show is next to be cancelled.
Trump, never one to hold back, remarked, “He failed on the football field and now he’s failing at making people laugh.” The former president didn't stop there, nostalgically calling for the return of Rove McManus, stating, “I love Rove, he was the best host, not as good as me but pretty close… whose mum would even want Sam Pang to say hi to them anyway?”
Pang, who once played for the Collingwood AFL Club's under-19s team but wasn’t picked for the grand final, was reportedly shocked to be singled out by Trump. “I guess it’s just nice to know that at least someone watched the show,” Pang quipped, adding he thought his only viewers were Sky News journalists eager to label him as 'woke.'
In light of Trump’s comments, the AFP has briefed Pang about the emergence of threats against him from local MAGA supporters. Pang has since been relocated to an undisclosed location, humorously noted as a place where colleague Ed Kavalee can't poke fun at him.
