Nationals Commit to Liberals Achieving Net Zero Seats by 2050

The National Party has humorously committed to making the Liberal Party unelectable by 2050, aiming for 'net zero seats.' The party plans to achieve this by continuing to propose unpopular climate policies, ensuring that every urban Coalition seat is lost.

During a weekend meeting, Nationals Leader David Littleproud expressed confidence that they could achieve this target even sooner. He quipped, 'If we continue to take into consideration what Australians want done on climate, and then do the exact opposite of that, we can get a lot of those suburban seats changing hands pretty quickly.'

Nationals MP Matt Canavan echoed this sentiment, predicting that by prioritizing coal and dabbling with nuclear ideas, they could destroy the Liberal party in the next electoral cycle.

When questioned about why the Nationals would want to make the Liberals unelectable, given their Coalition reliance, Littleproud humorously responded, 'Because we’re mad as a cut snake, it’s as simple as that. The mistake you’ve made is assuming we do things for logical reasons, but we’re actually insane. None of us knows what we’re actually doing.'
